Wallingford, CT Gets a Visit from Actor/Writer/Director - Matthew Quinn Martin at Dag Hammarskjold Middle School in Wallingford, CT.
It was a very special event and visit in Wallingford, CT!!
Matthew presented to the 7th grade, Team 2, students at Dag Hammarskjold Middle School in Wallingford, his career as an actor/writer/director.
Following, Matthew re-visited Wallingford, CT, a once upon a time home town of his, and the Middle School he attended in the 1980's. The students were completely surprised by his visit. In Matt's presentation, he showed a clip of one of the movies he wrote called "Sling Shot" (released in 2005 and now found at Block Buster), to the students and gave them all a valuable insight of the importance of why students of today's generation need to remain focus on all their subjects, that include, Language Arts, Drama class and other courses schools teach. The basic point to this lecture is an example that when all efforts are made at a young age, it will polish oral, written and professional skills of any career choice these students choose as the move into the world of careers.

Matthew Quinn Martin is an actor/writer/director who has written and directed several screen plays, movies and short films. Matthew has also appeared on T.V. shows, one most popular known as "Law & Order". Additionally, Matthew has played a role in the movie he wrote called "Sling Shot".

Matthew was honored to return to his Middle School after two decades and the Middle School was honored to have him back to the school to provide the Gift of Knowledge and why education stems above and beyond. All it takes is a dream and the courage to make a dream come true.
Matthew Quinn Martin and Maggie Griffin, who are cousins, both agree that through their family's pre-successors, their generation has continued Success in the Careers they chose. Both have the Dedication, Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Professional Attributes.
Griffin states "A Day in Our Careers along with talking about our family and fond memories of our Aunts and Uncles, Parents and Grand Parents was exciting for both of us. Our family background and beliefs remain in our heritage and our hearts."
Griffin, is a native of Hamden, CT, daughter of the Late Dom DellaRocco (former Hamden Fire Commissioner and Town Counselman), resides in Wallingford with her husband Tom and two children, Stephanie and Tommy Jr.
Matthew Quinn Martin resides in New York with his wife, Jennifer, who works for Star Magazine.
Griffin is extremely proud of Matthew's Success in the Film Industry.

Local Community News - North Haven, CT - May 2008
Adam J. Munck, formerly of North Haven, completed Basic Law Enforcement Training as well as North Carolina Highway Patrol (Fall 2007) at Wake Technical Community College, Raleigh, North Carolina, ranking second in the Police Officersą Physical Ability Test (POPAT).
Sergeant Munck, served 2 tours of duty in Iraq, and was Honorably discharged in 2005. Munck was awarded the Good Conduct Medal for exemplary behavior, efficiency, and fidelity in active federal military service, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Driver and Mechanic Badge, Iraq Campaign Medal, as well as a Sharp Shooter Ribbon.
Officer Munck, pictured above with Associate Vice President for Campus Safety and Security, Aaron Graves, is employed with Duke University Police Department, Durham, North Carolina.
Local Community News - Wallingford, CT, June 2008
On June 11th, 2008, Stephanie Griffin, daughter of Maggie Griffin, was the recipient of high honor awards and recognition as a sophmore at Lyman Hall High School.
Stephanie also received The Gold Metal and Silver Dollar Award with the additional awards for her dedication in outstanding performance, GPA's and as a repeat honor roll student.
As Stephanie enters her Junior Year 2008-2009, she is qualified to begin college courses well into her senior year of high school. These courses will count as credit, allowing her to enter her first year of college in 2010 as a sophmore.
